Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

I like all cozy/farming sims for the most part; I knew I would like it, I just didn't realize I would like it as much as I did.

It was an impulse buy. Syd had just started some daycare, I was in Target bawling my eyes out, and bam, to make myself feel better SoS GB. 😊

As someone that’s put off by first person controls and too impatient for puzzles, fate says I should have hated this.

In fact, it was quite the opposite, and I absolutely loved it.

Since Portal I’ve definitely been open to trying more games outside of my comfort zone. 😆

This is a great idea.
The game I was pleasantly surprised by was Dust: An Elysian Tail. This was before I got truly invested in the Metroidvania genre and I had no knowledge of anything about it. Despite being a wild card, the game enraptured me, and it's remained a personal favorite. #gamingsky

Portal is a great game. One of the coolest secrets though is that the stage transitions between rooms are actually portals too.

Devs really took thinking with portals seriously

I was skeptical of the series but I received it for the Wii U as a gift and loved it. Perfect for my strategic mind. Fun times and enjoyed playing the challenges with friends & family

Remove middle management and replace with management. From what I see, it's executive level that want it the most. And they will continue to work remotely

Some more notes:

Monetization is generally only allowed on approved programs like from YouTube or Facebook partner programs and not locked behind paywall

Nintendo requires commentary added

Capcom explicitly restricts just taking the music

Some companies allow but will restrict spoilers

Note that conditions vary per company and legal advice I see (especially with Japan laws) is they have full rights.

From what I see, generally good are Nintendo and Capcom.

Games are in a weird state. Companies actively fight against preservation efforts (tbf they also fight against film preservation) but at the same time, some will let you stream and even make money under some reasonable conditions, resulting in valuable exposure for language study

Music didn't bother me. I wasn't so impressed with the game at first, but after playing it with my kid and all the stuff they were able to cram and the creativity, my opinion shifted to it being pretty good. I liked it more than woolly world

I was upset at the idea of paying for a demo, but I still would have for legends 3DS, especially since it was at the time when it really needed software

I first played the demo at TGS and was impressed. I bought it at release and enjoyed it.

I was surprised to see how Megaman titles generally don't sell over 1 million. At the same time, I think that goes to show that 1 million isn't necessary to be profitable. It's mostly a budgeting decision

It's actually a lot simpler than it appears. The design looks chaotic and can be, but there are so many little design choices that actually get you into the flow and quick to understand.

It's fun and a challenge. I often kept wanting to do one more run. Probably the best MMBN inspired game

I like this game has full Japanese voice acting and Nintendo allows for streaming under their guidelines as long as adding commentary. Very good for getting exposure and explaining how Japanese works.
