Incredible discovery on the TNA Web Archive... there is an archived version of the 'Love Chips' campaign from 2009, featuring a song (and clipped up ringtone) from Keith Chegwin all about chips... and the download still works! #obsessed #chips

Detail of a manuscript page with fancy pen strokes to make an initial L ornamented with leaves and berries. The L is decorated with a man's face in profile looking left from the up-stroke, a generic face looking upwards from a horizontal flourish, and a small impish face with a jester's hat tucked between the end of the L and the start of 'ectres'.
For this year's advent calendar (and my 1st on Bluesky), let's do manuscript faces! Most of the archival documents I look at are pretty plain, but this volume had a particularly enthusiastic scribe. On day 1, we've got a delightful little imp sneaking up on the other inhabitants of the initial L.

There is also a partial card index to Chancery clerks in the Map Room arranged by name, but it's not comprehensive really. It was compiled from the authorisation of Chancery writs. Happy to check it if helpful
