05.10.2025 01:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Home again, after a good week of climbing in Squamish. Due to weather and scheduling issues, I climbed 6 days in a row, and was very tired by the end of it. Luckily, it actually rained on day 7, so we saw spawning and dead salmon, packed up, relaxed, drove back to Vancouver, and had good sushi.
29.09.2025 01:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0YOW -> YVR, then on to Squamish.
Not nearly as many of these posts any more. :(
This trip is climbing, to nobody's shock or surprise.
Welcome home!

17.07.2025 02:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0That was a lovely Canada-day long weekend(ish) at the cottage. Thank you everyone who joined me and made it a good time. And, especially, thank you weather for presenting us with an awesome weekend of weather for all our cottage activities.

A classic BDG repair job:
22.06.2025 16:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0"your gorgeous country"???? Don't you have a "golden ticket"?
20.06.2025 23:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Exactly. Or through Montreal.
20.06.2025 22:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0:(
20.06.2025 21:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There are direct Canada -> Mexico flights where you don' t have to transfer/transit in the US. Mexico city ends up being a common transfer point for those.
20.06.2025 21:47 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Finally a weekend with a solid forecast of two days of climbing weather! Today, got out for a light day at Lac Sam, hitting Pink Floyd Wall and Gully Wall with Bart.
Tomorrow, aiming for Panorama/Bowman with a bit bigger crew.
Yeah... just 10.
Maybe we read more than is normal? :)
I linked somebody to Digger (diggercomic.com) today, and I had to carefully not click through and read the first couple pages as I KNOW that's how an accidental archive binge starts.
09.06.2025 03:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have a "hiking perfume" sometimes, especially in the spring. It's called DEET. :)
09.06.2025 00:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's me! It was lovely!
05.05.2025 01:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Lovely afternoon to be out climbing at Lac Sam!
05.05.2025 01:33 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Best part was Carleton where Polievre lost his seat.
30.04.2025 00:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ok, that was an acceptable election result.
29.04.2025 23:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Carleton, of course, has fewest of the polls reporting so far.
29.04.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0At least that's what CBC is showing, for Fanjoy.
29.04.2025 03:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 03K to 2K now.
29.04.2025 03:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0And, I wonder how often the Lib & Con leaders have run in adjacent ridings?
29.04.2025 02:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I will not obsessively refresh the election results. I will not obsessively refresh the election results.
I wonder if Carleton is going to be THE last riding to actually report results? Cause they've got a LONG (I understand about a meter long) night ahead of them counting ballots.
All of the hugs and sympathy!
29.04.2025 00:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yep
26.04.2025 00:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My sympathies and care.
22.04.2025 21:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's something else, too!
21.04.2025 23:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Um... um... I'm not sure I did... but that was certainly something.
21.04.2025 01:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think there's also some lag of already-booked-and-paid-for.
