Based on a True Story was *the* soundtrack for our golden University years of long summers, festivals, adventures, all night dancing, lazy mornings, and beach holidays. Spending the day walking around Welly city streets listening from beginning to end and then again, thanking you Mu, moe mai ra ✨

NZ gave citizenship to Peter fucking Thiel... I think we more than owe it to ourselves to make an offer to Stephen Colbert.

Parliament risks being overwhelmed by an increase in public engagement on bills, Clerk of the House David Wilson told MPs this week.

Parliament risks being overwhelmed by an increase in public engagement on bills, Clerk of the House David Wilson told MPs this week.

On the one hand, lol stop making shit bills and you won’t have to deal with the loud collective disagreement

But on the more cynical hand, they better not use this as an excuse to further erode the foundations of democracy

This was the order of events:

1. Paramount acceded to Trump’s extortion by paying a bribe.

2. Stephen Colbert calls his employer out for doing that.

3. Paramount fires Stephen Colbert for being honest about Trump.

4. Proving Trump’s bribe worked.

not normally a abanana/banoffee fan but do enjoy a perkynana πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜Ή.

There’s no mystery here. Nothing shadowy or weird.

Just a woman who has had enough and who is taking a stand on behalf of other women ✊

Nothing clearer than that in this whole saga πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

We cannot individual responsibility out of the climate crisis we are in. It’s absolutely unhinged to think that.

I do miss the glorious mountains Wellington has surrounding its harbour, jaggedly steep & strong … but Auckland on contrast has Big Sky, nearly completely from horizon to horizon, allowing you to see sweeping vistas of some truly epic storm clouds, stretching as a true panorama wrapping around you.

Man does bad thing.

Victim tells people about bad thing the man did.

Man says he is the victim for doing the bad thing.

You couldn't make this up...

Chung is totally unsuited for any form of public office.

This is insane? What do they mean *bailing people out*?? What do they mean they just *won't* do that in future?

This government *in particular* has tossed away climate concerns and mitigation and now Luxon is saying they'l; sacrifice families in the region to feed that decision

He barely understands what he needs to do as prime minister.

If you’re not world famous or someone who can get him a knighthood he just does not give a flying shit who you are. That includes mayors and councillors. He just does not give a fuck

Like, sure, sick burn on Chung but the Prime Minister should absolutely know who councillors in the capitol of Aotearoa are, where he works and lives a lot of the time.

People think money has ruined football but the sight of a rapist dictator standing next to a corrupt football official in front of a big gold trophy at a competition bankrolled by Saudi Arabia reminds me the game still belongs to us.

If it’s anything, a lot of schools have dialled back on compulsory participation. Walks are encouraged and those kids who can’t are given tasks alongside teachers. Any school not doing that deserves to have a thorough ERO investigation and a kick in the pants

(Sorry I'm always sayin the same thing, but every news item about this gets it twisted)

Ray Chung’s email about Tory Whanau is not some random thing he did. It’s part of a global pattern: women leaders being targeted with false, sexist rumours to undermine their credibility and leadership. #nzpol 🧡

If you joined InternetNZ more than 3 months ago to help stop the hostile takeover of the NGO by the Free Speech Union and Hobsons Pledge, you will have received an email with a link and password to cast you vote.

This is a good guide. Don't rank the FSU/Hobsons candidates at all, leave them blank

Fight policies, not appearances.
Fight policies, not disabilities.
Fight policies, not clothing choices.

People can’t help how they look, and didn’t choose to be disabled.

They did choose to be arrogant, greeey and selfish, with no regard for others.

New Zealand media are πŸ’― complicit in the abuse perpetuated against women in our country. It’s horrifying to realise just how much they are part of the problem.

I'm on 25 gigs for the first half of the year.
Unless in the very unlikelyhood that I get off work on Friday and make it to Devilskin/Villainy at Powerstation.
Fairly even split between international & loval acts.
