I started last week too. Iโm awful at it but itโs so relaxing ๐
03.01.2025 22:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm absolutely obsessed with these. Ferret dreo is something I didnโt know I needed and can no longer live without ๐ ๐
04.12.2024 20:35 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0He cradled her face with large hands as he wiped her tear stained cheeks with his thumbs.
โIโll take care of you Granger. We will find some veritaserum so you know Iโm telling the truth. Let me help you?โ
โI donโt need veritaserum. I shouldnโt, I know, but I trust you Dracoโ
โNo! Itโs not like that!โ But Ron was already too busy running away to pay attention to her words.
She didnโt know how long she stood there before a hand on her shoulder made her turn to face Draco.
โDonโt worry about him. Heโs an idiot for treating you like that.โ
โBecause he was-โ
โIf you remember that, I bet you know what you turned into in second year.โ
โI didnโt turn into anything. Madame Pomfrey fixed me!โ
โSo you do have memories!โ
โNo I just heard about-โ
โI knew you was lying! You hated that everyone was too busy grieving to give you attention.โ
โHar har.โ He muttered dryly but his eyes shone with happiness as he looked at her.
โI thought you couldnโt remember anything from school Hermione?โ Ron questioned through gritted teeth.
โI canโt. But Draco-โ
โWell you clearly can. How else would you remember him being a ferret?โ
His demand was so sharp that she couldnโt help but to obey.
โFerret?โ She questioned as she moved to stand with Ron. He looked to Draco to see him rolling his eyes and hers widened in delight. โMoody turned you into a ferret! Thatโs what you meant by spineless rat!โ She couldnโt help but laugh.
He was just in the middle of explaining where things are in Hogsmeade when a throat cleared, interrupting them. They both looked up to see Ron looking down at them in disgust.
โWhat are you doing?โ He questioned, anger clear in his tone. โCome here Hermione, donโt go near the ferret.โ
He smiled at her rant and nodded before moving to sit beside her.
For a long while, they sat there. He talked about their time at school together, her relationships with her peers and the war. He answered every question he could and apologised when he didnโt know the answer.
โWould you mind telling me a bit more about the Wizarding world?โ She felt silly asking. But her need for knowledge outweighed her hesitation. โOnly, I canโt ask anyone else because Ron doesnโt believe me, his family think it will fix itself, and Harry has enough to deal with.โ
24.11.2024 09:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0โDo you wish me harm now?โ
โNot at all. Iโm so sorry for every time I have in the past.โ
She nodded. โAre you busy?โ
The question seemed to startle him. โNot really, I was just coming to see if there are any buildings to rent or buy.โ
โWhy- why did you tell me all of that?โ She asked as tears began to form in her eyes once more.
โI fear you were an unfortunate recipient of my uncleโs memory spell what wipes anything magical from muggleborns and half bloods. You deserve to know the truth about me.โ
โI thought I had to be mean to you because you were a muggleborn gryffindor so I made your life hell. But the war has taught me a lot and I would like to apologise for everything I have done and said to you.โ He lowered his head to look at the floor. โI know it isnโt enough. But Iโm sorry, Grangerโ
24.11.2024 09:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0โI know who you are. We went to school together. I was a Slytherin and I was so horrible to you and your friends. You hated me, probably still do.โ Why was he telling her this. If she didnโt know him, he could pretend sheโs always liked him.
24.11.2024 09:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0โNo, sorry. How rude of me. Iโm Hermione Granger.โ She stuck her hand out for him to shake and for a long moment it seemed that he wasnโt going to.
When his hand touched hers, something settled in her. She felt safe for the first time since the war. She immediately let her guards drop.
After a moment, he broke it with cautious words. โGranger,โ he sounded like he was trying not to anger a wild animal. โDo you know who I am?โ
She shook her head, he must be a celebrity. That would explain why he looked familiar but doesnโt know her first name.
โIโm sorry to bother you, Iโm okay. But could you please tell me where the bookshop is? I canโt remember?โ
His eyes widened as he studied her face. โYou canโt remember where the bookshop is?โ She shook her head in reply.
Silence stretched between them as he continued to study her.
โI donโt have my wand. Iโm not going to do anything.โ This took her off guard. Was he an enemy that she had been warned about? But why would her enemy ask if she was okay?
She shook her head. And, despite everyone telling her to never let people know of her memory loss, she spoke up.
โAre you okay?โ A voice asked nearby. She quickly wiped her face with the sleeves of her jumper before looking up.
The person who spoke was so familiar, with white blonde hair and grey eyes so light they were almost silver. She knew him, she knew she did. But how?
โGranger? You okay?โ He asked.
She moved to the side of the street, moving to sit on the floor in front of a bordered up shop. One that, according to the sign, had once been an apothecary.
She couldnโt stop the tears from falling as she sat alone in an unfamiliar place. Yes, she had been here before but the memories were taken.
For a moment, she was still. Shocked by the fact she had been left alone to fend for herself for the first time since the war, and of course it had to be in public.
Everyone knew her, that much she knew. And, despite the late hour, there were still many people around to witness her humiliation.
Ron stopped abruptly and she walked into him, too lost in her thoughts as she tried to remember something, anything, to no avail. He sighed as he turned to look at her. โI am going to talk to George. Youโre going shopping. Iโll find you when Iโm done.โ And with that, he turned and left her alone.
24.11.2024 09:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Even after all these months, he didnโt seem to believe that she was lacking memories. He didnโt see her get hit by the spell, so of course it didnโt happen.
She knew she deserved better, but she couldnโt navigate the world alone right now. She needed his help.
โYou donโt have to cling to me, Hermione. You can do things on your own.โ It was clear Ron was becoming tired of her. He made no effort to disguise the fact. But she didnโt know what to do. He was always dragging her out with him but didnโt like when she stayed by his side.
24.11.2024 09:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0She searched her memories, what little she had left of the wizarding world, in hopes of recalling the bookshop, or at least the name of it.
She came up short. All she got for her troubles was the beginnings of a headache.
โNo, Iโd rather stay with you.โ Her reply was quiet but he heard her.
But she couldnโt remember it. If it wasnโt for her mother insisting she kept a diary, she wouldnโt know much about herself anymore.
โIโm guessing youโre going to look at books while I talk to George?โ Ron said as he walked a step in front of her.
It was like someone had shown her photos of it all, she had seen it but hadnโt been before. Except, she had.
She knew she had. When she was first introduced to the wizarding world, she and her parents were escorted to Diagon Alley where she walked this street for the first time.
Not my results but I feel inspired to write for the first time in a very long time
Very long Drabble โข Memory loss โข I knew you were lying โข Tear stained
She looked around as they walked through the busy cobbled street. Everything looked so familiar and yet, she felt no connection to the place.
Hi ๐๐ป Iโm back. What have I missed?
