To sum it up, Trump, and as a result, the current administration, is essentially a gorilla with a shotgun standing in the middle of a crowd. The gorilla must not be provoked. The gorilla must be entertained. The gorilla must be given bananas.

Others are just even stupider than Trump (which is bad), or opportunistic bootlickers who want to bask in Trump's glory (worse), or, in most cases, both.
