09.03.2025 18:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great thread, really enjoyed it. Will have to look into Northag, been playing 7 days to the river Rhine but interesting to see other rules in action too π

20.11.2024 19:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Accepting commissions, but only if you have or intend to build a large dam or similar structure and need to check the hydraulics π
09.11.2024 12:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Terrain is CNC machined in EPS in sections 1.5 m by 3 m and is generated from laser scans and photogrammetry. The whole model is coated with bathroom membrane since the EPS is permeable. The weir shapes are created from Divinycell (pvc foam) since it is quite rigid and easy to shape and fine-tune.
09.11.2024 12:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not been posting much, or playing at all these days. But I'll share a bit about some model building I have been working on in the hydraulic laboratory at the University here. Model scale 1:45, not a very common wargaming scale. The whole model is 8 m by 3 m.

08.02.2024 12:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes it is, I especially liked that part of the museum, well worth a visitπ
18.11.2023 22:30 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Some 6 mm bocage, doormat cut in strips, lightly airbrushed dark brown, glued turf/static grass mix to rubber base, let dry then glue foam clumps to top
18.11.2023 22:13 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But that was an excellently painted miniature!
16.11.2023 20:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My painting speed is glacial to start with so I've chosen to stay faaar away from Napoleonics π
16.11.2023 20:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0That's the one π, born in Trondheim where I live and I went to school with some of his distant relatives back in Aure.
14.11.2023 19:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And land warfare in Norway was just a series of non-battles with Swedish armies running around chasing ghosts until they ran out of supplies and several failed sieges π
14.11.2023 19:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Beautiful tables Per, makes me think, but if I were to do GNW it would have to be naval, with the exploits of legendary swashbuckling Norwegian naval commander Peter Wessel Tordenskiold.
14.11.2023 19:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Would love to!
13.11.2023 20:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yet another abysmal order roll, at least the Germans also got three ones. And those Pz iv's are getting awfully close, not looking good for the Brits, time to bug out and put the tea on..
13.11.2023 17:09 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks mate!
13.11.2023 16:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Brits managed to get on a couple of platoons to shore up the defence but had to deploy quite far back in the open and promptly gets raked by a mg platoon that crept up on the hill. 5 shock and a second fubar..
13.11.2023 16:41 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Germans continued pushing and deployed their reserve company on the wooded hill while also advancing on the left flank. Both sides took a fubar. The other end of the board is completely ignored by both sides, it's all about the village.
13.11.2023 11:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0British command roll at a critical time, oh boy.. at least a good artillery roll wiped out the German platoon moving into the village
11.11.2023 11:55 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Germans pushing forward but taking significant fire on the way
11.11.2023 11:52 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The German attack on the village has developed nicely and the Brits had to pull back from the hill to regroup or face being wiped out. To be continued.
09.11.2023 22:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A bit of solo 'O' Group
09.11.2023 21:39 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0That looks ace!
09.11.2023 20:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Really nice!
09.11.2023 19:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lovely, I'd be very happy with that π
09.11.2023 19:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Was a great day! I played a game of 'O'Group in the morning refighting the German counterattack on Primosole bridge. The second game was a Sharp Practice game in 1808 at Kongsvinger between Swedes and Norwegians.
