Timelaspe from the aurora-cam looking north on 2026 01 19-20
Fantastic display which rather overloaded the camera at some points. And even when most of the aurora had gone south there was still things going on to the north #rousay #orkney #astro

A collection of photos of the aurora 202601_19-20 from around 20:30 tom 22:00 UT. A magnificent display with green and red clearly visible to the naked eye. Travelled all the way south over Orion and Sirius, and a nice corona in Auriga

A little breezy new years day, and time to see how the wind turbine did this year. About 17.8 MWHr's generated in 2025, so a bit down on 2024 (20.1 MWHr). Windiest month was March (1.9 MWHr)

What settings do you use?
On my A7S I use 1/25s, f/2.8 21mm lens, ISO 128,000 but 'amp glow' is annoying, but I read that the A7S II amp glow is no better at high iso?
