I love the posters and the way the tables are set up. What a lovely classroom! 😊

Haha, some people jokingly say "pedestrian zing" instead of crossing.

Here, the northern states and California go back later - in September and end the school year in mid to late June. Growing up, we always started Sept and went until the end of June. But where I live now we start early and end early. I prefer the latter.

Another thoughtful response to the NYT article on teaching CS in the age of AI. #TeamCompSci #CSed

This is just one more tech tool. We'll see new jobs emerge just like when the PC came out in the 80s. Many people now have roles that didn’t exist back then because of advances in tech. Some of us gained new skillsets. No different than what will happen now. In the end we'll be OK! (2/2)

I like your optimism! I agree... I see a lot of panic and posts made from a place of fear with many teachers worried about being replaced or something like that. Tech advancements are nothing new. Some will adapt. Others will not and stick to old ways. Skilled people will always be needed. (1/2)

I used a programming PBL approach based on how I wish I had learned programming and it seemed to work well. But now with AI, I need to adapt. I feel many students now seem more focused on grades and points earned than the process of learning and turn to AI. (2/2)

I liked your idea in the fb group to have groups of students represent procedures that when they come together, they solve a larger problem. I can't think of any good activities that would do that, though. (1/2)

Hi Dan! Thank you, that's so nice of you! PTSOS has always been so generous to all. The PTSOS meetings were always my happy place. You guys "saved me" from corporate America (remember that?) I will always be grateful for those Saturday meetings!
