Ableton's arrangement view is a good way to go. You can mange the clip sizes on the grid, and rename/color them as you see fit. If you want the automation to be visible you can just leave the automation view open and screen record.

Other options within ableton exist too.

Testing out an eye/head rig for a new bot mascot.

This version basically uses a donut in a container with wiggle bones to give it a bit more character than a moving flat texture.

More experiments to come.
