My sweet child, where has the other half of your mouth gone?

Stop. Admire the bee fly. Look at how it flies with absolutely no grace whatsoever.
Observe how it unites bee and fly lovers everywhere without effort.
Where is it going? What has it seen? With no honey to make, it has a lot of free time.

Just another foodie influencer documenting their meal before turning the restaurant into a nursery. Classic.

Not enough. We should spend more to expedite the extermination of human civilisation.

19.01.2025 12:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An image of an Opilione (common names: Harvestman and Daddy-long-legs). It is Dicraopalpus ramosus, a distinctive harvestman with forked palps. This harvestman appears quite sad, slumped over a plant stem, looking forlornly at the camera.
Local harvestman discovers that having eight legs doesn't help carry the weight of perpetual misidentification by humans.

29.12.2024 22:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Why do we insist on destroying every inch of natural habitat we have to make these horrible, sprawling suburban housing schemes like the Americans? They are environmentally disastrous and anti-pedestrian. Why aren't we thinking more like this??
08.12.2024 14:54 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0The last thing we need is to strip protections for some of the most threatened species in our country. Why don't we focus on high-quality, high-density, urban flats? How about people hording multiple homes or real estate that sits unused and run-down in city centres?
08.12.2024 14:54 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1This makes me so angry on so many levels. Do you know how rare Great Crested Newt breeding habitat is? Do you know what the process of protection actually entails? Regardless of what a consultant finds (newts, bats, whatever) work will ALWAYS win. We do the BARE MINIMUM to protect these animals.
08.12.2024 14:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fuck. Off. This is a Tory talking point picked up by the so-called "left" Labour. As a former consultant, here's what you need to do: streamline your shit application process for licenses. NatureScot has already managed this - why not Natural England??
