Home again after the quick trip to vote. About the same turnout as always from what I was told . . . not sure if that's good or bad. But voted.

I knew there was a reason I had an urge to sit and write today. Not that I'm officially participating anymore, but the muscle memory is still there.

I wonder what the staff at the local (ish) Staples store would think of the members card I just found . . . from 1990. Doubt they'd have any record of it. Right?

Well, the good news is the thumb drive I found in a tote bag doesn't have any important files on it. The bad news, what the hell was a thumb drive doing in a bag I'd completely forgotten about until I was about to toss it?

A whole mass of people who believe they're shadow banned any time a post doesn't perform as well as expected is about to lose that feedback entirely. Oh dear. That's not going to go well.

I am ridiculously excited about getting groceries next Saturday because of all the Christmas candy that will be in the stores . . . and possibly the discount Halloween candy.

The glory of fashion in the late 80s, everything was baggy. I used to be able to wear a very chunk sweater under it. Not today. Just thrilled it still fits.

Grabbed my jean jacket to head out to run errands and realized it's vintage, probably. It's a least 35 years old, maybe older. How do I know, because I'm the vintage human who bought it. I know I had it at Emerson in '91, but I think I had it in high school.

Apparently the mushroom residents forgot to turn off the lights before they went out for the day.

I'm not going to quote reply that coffee has no value thing, because, well, coffee has plenty of value. For instance, I'll value your life more after my first cup of coffee.

Some days are hard in big, loud ways. Other days are just quietly soul crushing . . . today has been one of those days. Today makes me very aware of how alone I am.

Did I just spend 5 minutes standing in the doorway to my garage so not to disturb the dozen or so little birds having breakfast on my deck, why yes, yes I did. It was a lovely way to end the morning.

I just woke up from a prolonged dream (nightmare?) where military style jets were patrolling the night skies over my house.
Yeah, I'm not stressed about the state of the world at all. Nope.
