No one quite deserves to be made to look such a fool as Matt Goodwin. This is truly heartening.

Confirmation of how low BBC News has sunk. Reeves' trivial administrative cock up leads its news website when, for example, Jamaica is being destroyed by a hurricane.
Sod the 1000s of Brits worried about family, embarrassing Labour is more important.

Asylum seekers, housed in hotels in Manchester, are reaching out in their own words to address the concerns of the local community.

Please take a minute to read their letter, & share it with the people in your life who need to hear the truth about the people they are protesting.

Chart showing OECD's index of strictness of employment law relating to dismissing individual workers on a refular contract: OECD countries, 2019

The UK currently imposes few restrictions on employers making dismissals - there are only five OECD countries where it is easier to fire someone.

So while there's space for reform, on unfair dismissal the Government looks set to move from extreme to the other.

At no point should discussions around Conservative or Reform mass deportation policies be about the "workability" or "practicality" of such policies. They should be about the inhumanity and immortality of them. They should be about the racism of them. Anything less is normalisation of xenophobia.

If you think that black and brown faces in advertising is linked to "legitimate concerns" about mass migration, it does suggest that you think that all black and brown people are foreigners. Which, for a party whose current leader is black and whose previous leader was brown, is quite something.

Mealy mouthed apology from Pochin after her outright racism here. When she says she will endeavour to make sure her language is more accurate in future? What is a more accurate way of her saying she can’t stand seeing black and Asian people on TV?

There are now almost a million NEETS (young people not in education, employment or training) aged 16-24.

This means by 2025, more than one-in-eight young people were NEET, up from one-in-nine in 2019.

People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to β€œgo home”. This is their home.

I've written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.

I do hope that if they do choose to become immigrants in another country they plan to fully assimilate, abandon any home culture, become fluent in the new language, make no claim on state services or pensions, and fulfil all the other demands they make of people choosing to live here.
