I do believe we’re evolving as a species.

But our generation, the ones before us, and the ones right after us are a blip in time.

Whatever good you hope for is far away—if it ever comes at all.

Yes, there are people and companies doing good.
Yes, some are bucking the trend.

But it’s never enough—because we refuse to target systems change.

You think AI is a panacea?

Don’t be foolish.

There are a million ways to rip you off—and right now, people are brainstorming ever more ingenious ones.

You are the mark.

Where’s the duty of care?

Employment is precarious.
Companies are predatory.
Our government doesn’t protect its most vulnerable citizens.

Hell, corporations are treated better than people.

We’re a violent species.

Business tactics against workers are violent.
Our treatment of this planet is violent.
The way we treat each other is violent.

Whether you’re a child in elementary school, a university student, any shade of brown, Black, Jewish, Indigenous, LGBTQ…anyone really—you are in danger.

There are no safe places anymore.

Violence is who we are.
It’s everywhere.

Schools. Workplaces. Clubs. Bars. Places of worship. Beaches.

I can’t really stomach another post about how “hatred rots us from the inside” or “this is not who we are.”

Ancient history to the present is filled with violence and conquest, punctuated by brief, fragile periods of peace.

I’m sorry, are we planning to attack Islamic factions in Nigeria as part of some save Christianity holy war? WTF.

Josh Rogin was spot on calling out Bill Maher on @realtimers.bsky.social — saying the dinner was a PR stunt and Maher was a fool for playing the pawn.

Bah — American shows can never just go all the way there!!

Backing someone like Musk who has cachet is a lazy man’s maneuver.
