I keep thinking "maybe tomorrow I will wake up with a renewed source of energy to do all of this shit" but I keep waking up exhausted. Maybe TOMORROW I will wake up with a renewed source of energy though. Yeah. Yeah, one more sleep. That'll work.

I'm gonna have to get a different car soon, and I didn't expect the loss of my first car to hit me like it is. Tell me stories about your first car, or similar experiences?

My kid lives in Siddall Hall and sent me these yesterday. First is what was put up by the school, second is the studentsโ€™ alteration of the administrationsโ€™ cowardice.

An infographic titled โ€œHow To Write Alt Textโ€ featuring a photo of a capybara. Parts of alt text are divided by color, including identify who, expression, description, colour, and interesting features. The finished description reads โ€œA capybara looking relaxed in a hot spa. Yellow yuzu fruits are floating in the water, and one is balanced on the top of the capybaraโ€™s head.โ€ Credit to Puzzle agency, original information from Veronica With Four Eyes and veroniiiica dot com

Iโ€™m glad so many people have found my โ€œcapybara methodโ€ for how to write alt text and image descriptions helpful! However, I know conflicting access needs exist and not everyone can write their own #AltText, so hereโ€™s an ongoing thread of tools that can help. Inclusion in thread โ‰  endorsement

One more thought on "bad" art, at the risk of sounding pretentious:

The point of art is to create and express something. Technical skills (anatomy, perspective, etc) are good, but only insofar as they serve that goal. What gives art its value is the impression it makes, not the artist's skill.

Spent the late afternoon doing paintings that turned out horribly, but it was still better than scrolling.

Highly recommend putting some studio hours in your calendar. Make something. Learn a new skill. Get off the screen and get messy.
