Definitely true- as is the case for all genre (I hear this is 99% of being a Metal fan). I just think that it's unfair to pick this word choice apart when the intended meaning is pretty clear to most of the TTRPG community.

Who determines what makes a novel Scifi vs. Fantasy? Or what makes a board game a "Euro-style" game? I think most people know what these words are meant to evoke, and I think that the intended audience here has a general understanding of what is meant by "traditional" in this context.

IMO: The answer is to implement sweeping nerfs to essentially every playable card in Standard- enough to the point that we get a return to something like 2019 HS power level, and issue a full Dust refund on all of them as a "We Messed Up" consolation.
