this entire situation shouldn’t be too surprising but perfectly illustrates how so many men just despise women and that that hatred is actively an important aspect of the far right project

People at taken to Whipple are released into the cold in whatever they were wearing without their phones and IDs. Volunteers meet them at release (or find them left in parks and the woods) get them a burner, warm clothes, food, a ride home, etc

notes continue "β€” a world where care is not determined by billing or zip code or citizenship or employment status or formulary or diagnosis codes. a world where no one is surplus. where illness is not a source of shame or debt or punishment, but simple a part of life, and a part of being and feeling cared for. they want us to think that care is something we have to qualify for, that it belongs to the insured, the compliant, the deserving. but we win every day when we reject all of that, and we remember that care is a promise older than any institution, more powerful than any system. we will win when we remember care is a practice, passed hand to hand; when we claim it as ours without apology. all care for all people. that's what health communism is. not a slogan, not a party line, a strategy. a way of understanding that health is the terrain, not just the issue. that it's the lever and the battleground. that it's where capital extracts value, and where we can begin to sever its hold.

- where is the sit of struggle in health? sites, plural?
- where can we act?
- what can i do, from whatever position i'm in?
- what is the skill i have that i can offer outside of the system as it exists? even if it means taking on risk?
- what do i need to survive? what does my comrade need to survive? can i give it to them?
--> can i mix estrogen? can i distribute n95s? or just start wearing one again in public if i stopped? can i learn to do home care to keep just one comrade alive? can i teach my friends to do the same? what can i do to keep my comrades from being put in a psych hold?

these are all sites of struggle we can take action on that are just as important as big policy struggles, many of which we can take action on, today."

STATEMENT REGARDING DETENTION OF STANDING ROCK SIOUX TRIBE MEMBER IN MINNESOTA

JANUARY 24, 2026

I was notified today, January 24, 2026, that a Standing Rock Sioux Tribe member has been detained by the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the state of Minnesota. Tribal leadership is actively working to locate the individual, gather accurate information, and coordinate with the appropriate authorities to secure their release.

At this time, details surrounding the detention remain limited. I urge the public to refrain from spreading unverified information while this matter is being reviewed.

Standing Rock Sioux Tribe will continue to advocate for the protection of our citizen's rights and will provide updates as appropriate.

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list:
A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities).
Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid.
