This is why when folks were fighting to get an X gender marker on government ID, I went so hard on the idea that government ID ~shouldn’t have any gender on it at all~ It serves absolutely no purpose other than discrimination.

It isn't clear that these are all intended to depict trans women, though I could be missing context! I also don't see exaggerated masculine traits in many of the images, of course a subjective judgment. I def don't see exaggerated masc traits in the illustration of SJP that set off this convo

Not get off topic but I don't see anything transphobic in any of these? One is just a drawing of a woman with hairy legs and no indication of being cis or trans. Others are drawings of real people!
