I find a lot of them go for the empathetic approach, David Icke took that approach during lockdown/vax roll out I found, I briefly got drawn in but then found it was nonsense. He has no answers other than “surrounding yourself with love” or some bullshit.

That’s very true, you look at the far right on other platforms and that has to be bots, the amount of societal unrest content just doesn’t match up to reality (with the exception of a few hundred violent racists in Epping).

I used to go when I was younger, you’d make tea and biscuits for the older church goers afterwards, it was a really nice community. I feel like maybe the UK far right want a movement akin to US style conservative evangelicalism.

I’d probably say I’m somewhere around centre left when it comes to politics, I’ve been surprised recently by the animosity on here from people who are extremely left wing, towards people who are more centrist/liberal in their views.

Thanks for this Sam, I keep having to take mental health breaks from social media in particular because of amount of doom and gloom. Yes things could be better but they could also be so much worse.

I’m a bit surprised by the outrage, the law was passed two years ago and OFCOM gave the companies guidelines on verification methods a while ago. Site such as pornhub give you options such as an email address to verify your age which I don’t think is particularly intrusive.
