The Constitution disagrees. The Emoluments Clause, part of Article I, Section 9, Clause 8, bans office holders from taking ANY gifts from foreign countries. There is no mention of quid pro quo. That is because the Founding Fathers knew that even the *appearance* of corruption promotes corruption.

I have gotten a fair amount of limes from it

I find growing things in pots that don’t do well in my area is best then I drag them in the house when the season is over

My guess is because it’s a shrub you would need to buy a plant it might not be suited for year round growth in your area I’d need to look into it more it’s zone requirements etc
