I wrote about the aggrieved extremist who is currently firing thousands of federal workers and ravaging state capacity based on conspiratorial nonsense - and about mainstream mediaβs infuriating tendency to sanitize Russell Vought and the regime he serves.
This weekβs piece:
Just so everyone is clear, the main issue in the Supreme Court voting rights case tomorrow is whether it's racist against white people to enforce the Voting Rights Act.
I'm dead serious. We live in incredibly stupid times.
Fuck me this is bleak.
But please, do continue to use GenAI slop thumbnails for your YouTube videos, or your album art, or your book covers or whatever else. I'll continue to refuse to watch/listen/read any of them, knowing already they're not worth the time & that you're a disappointing lazy hack.
i love writers who truly don't give a single fuck π they write what they want, how they want, and their audience finds them every time! I aspire to be that author and that audience

21.09.2025 15:06 β π 2418 π 778 π¬ 84 π 17Watching all these centrist pundits stress the βcivilityβ of Charlie Kirkβs style without addressing the ugliness of his substance is giving me a renewed appreciation of how the civil, polite White Citizensβ Councils conned the same crowd into thinking they were distinct from the cruder Klan.
13.09.2025 16:54 β π 21375 π 4886 π¬ 554 π 267I shouldn't be shocked, but I'm still always brought up short to realize how many people think "civility" means "white people speaking in relatively calm voices" no matter what vile shit they say.

They have hundreds of posts about Kirk and most have longer clips that give the full context.

24.03.2025 13:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Like a lot of people, Iβve not been buying much from Amazon lately. But I was just talking to an author in the sapphic books subreddit and they were saying their ebook royalties are down 40 percent since the boycott started. Forty percent! This got me reconsidering the boycott strategy. I still plan to get most of my books from Kobo and the library system β but I might go back to KU, since KUβs monthly payment isnβt going to impact Amazon much, but it the lack of it might sink some small, indie, and queer authors.
Good to see this being discussed!
Many indies ARE now on Itch, Kobo, etc, but many others are locked into KU. The 90 day exclusivity lock is something to bear in mind. It canβt always be FAST.
Itβs a hard road to navigate & indies are doing their best to stay afloat while following the readers.

Honestly really excited to be a part of @beauvandalen.bsky.social's Novella Spring Garden. Basically a chill novella writing event that starts today and runs until June.
330 words a day and a great community to support & get support from. Readers also welcome! #NoSG2025 #WritingCommunity
Day 1, 03/19/2025:
384/330 words written! But I hate them and think I started the scene too late. I'll probably rewrite the whole thing when I get the chance. I'm not trying to make this first draft perfect, just semi- coherent π¬
