Couldn't a UKtec company set up a UK based equivalent to Twitter or Bluesky/Threads. The Canadians have set one up (Eh!) and then, importantly don't sell out to Trumps fan boys in the US.

That's my thought. They can't settle for fear of being deported. Can't get loans, mortgages, set up a business for the same reason. Likewise employers will be put off employing/training someone who could be deported at any time some official thinks their home country is safe.
