XPS foam cut and glued to eventually contain resin. 3d printed cavern walls and 3s printed ship.

Resin poured with blue tint over spray painted foam to make it look like water gets deeper from edges to the middle.

It is more of a give away so you realize it isn’t a Tabaxi or Katari. most players haven’t encountered one it is a good tease for a perception check early in the campaign. When he dominates a character I have their hands twist. Creeps everyone out.

Underrated monster for sure. Real good starting point to craft a BBEG from. My current pirate-rum-voodoo themed campaign has a Rakshasa as the main villain. Bizarre. Creepy. Formidable. Fits really well with the voodoo vibe.

The Path of the World Tree barbarian rides his Sand Snail into battle while the party’s Warlock positions himself to deliver an eldritch blast.

The Rotten dives down spewing necrotic fumes as he unleashes his breath weapon on the party brave enough to get close to him.

The party bonded while scavenging wrecks after escaping Bleakharbor Keep. Following a map found on a decaying Kobold, they traversed the dense jungle island to an excavation site, revealing remnants of a sandstone temple guarded by ‘The Rotten.’ #dnd #terrain #minipainting #ttrpg

This Friday the Steel City Dungeon Crawlers meet to play session 3 of #Daggerheart. First time the party is splitting to investigate a few leads. Eager to see how the ‘loose’ mechanics help with shifting small TOTM encounters with no terrain or map. I will have to really think about how I use Fear.

Last week I ran a Breakfast Club X #dnd one-shot and it was so fun coming up with species/classes that fit the character and RPing based on the movie. This will now become a recurring theme. Up next is the show #Friends. What species/classes would you recommend for each of them….

It happened. 1st session of Campaign 2 #dnd. The party broke out of Bleakharbor Keep. Secured the boat left by an unknown benefactor and set sail to fortune, glory and revenge. Can’t wait to do see where this #pirate adventure takes us. #terrain #miniatures #ttrpg

Close up of combat. Carnies from the Ember Masque carnival troupe and assassins from the Cinder Shroud ganged up on our PCs while they were investigating a drowning that occurred. Combat happened on lilies, in the water and surrounding.

The Ribbet of the group (frog-like humanoid) took advantage of the terrain, fighting from under the water and lilies. Awesome to roll play sneaky tongue attacks.

Session 2 of #daggerheart last night. 5 hours felt like 5 min. The PCs started to embrace the lack of initiative and coordinated some awesome combat. We also had our 1st ‘double dagger’ - double 12s. I have a special table of awesome when this happens. Off the the Carnival next session…

Deep under Faldar Caverns, the party pursues the lich formally known as Princess Anwin. She uses artificer’s gates to travel to different planes and call forth minions from those planes.

24hrs until the final session of my 1st campaign. 1 month shy of 3 years. It has truly been an honor DM’ing for these guys. The party faces off against a princess-turned lich, a shadow dragon, a nightwalker and a homebrewed worm made up of severed arms. 1317 total HP. I don’t stand a chance.

Next Friday is the final battle in a 3 year campaign. The damsel in distress princess has been the BBEG the entire time revealing herself to the party last session….She is a lich with a shadow dragon companion. They make a pretty good duo. She controls gates that open to other planes…

Thanks. Still need some bad guys printed and painted. Also need a reason to go up to the balcony area - so some scatter that looks interesting to investigate would help. Lastly this is prime fog or steam terrain so I might drill some holes to let it in. But getting close.

#WIP on the next #daggerheart encounter. This tropical themed bathhouse is a favorite amongst the high society Ribbits. Was is the gas from the sewers, poisonous plants or spiked wine that killed some very prominent individuals? Amateur tip- Amazon fake aquarium plants make great #terrain.

XPs foam ready for a coat of mod podge and paint.

Tried to make it look like the bottom of a pool with some brush action.

Added clear resin and 3d printed lily pads to give it an authentic look.

Added some dungeon tiles to frame the pool in the bathhouse.

First session of #daggerheart last night. Reviews are in. It hits different. Rolling with Fear is amazing. Players could feel tension build or immediately see the consequences. As #GM I finally felt like part of the story and not just guiding it. I had to strategically use my fear. Loved it.
