Probably not what you think I am. Unless you think I’m a big fan of dogs. Then you’d be correct.

Hell, I'd settle for a lobotomized dairy cow having won the election over that orange shit bag.

Arrest for what? What's the crime?

I'd lean towards no, because Kuminga has GS over a barrel. They don't want him to sign the 1-year deal and walk for nothing, which is really the only other option.

You didn't answer the question: How would doubling players' salaries make the product more valuable?

04.08.2025 02:30 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Then the league would fold, because every team and the whole loses money.

You keep dodging the question: How would doubling players' salaries make the product more valuable?

04.08.2025 01:31 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

No it's not. They're still losing money. If they double the cap, they'll lose even more money and get nothing from it - again, you do not get extra/better worker production by doubling the salary of a fixed number of laborers.

Apples to oranges. The WNBA has a salary cap.

Again, because players in Europe have a GLOBAL audience. Literally billions of fans.

MLS does not have billions of fans.

None of those are remotely applicable to sports teams. You have a fixed number of laborers and a fixed salary cap. They do not produce more if you pay them more.

🤦‍♂️

This guy thinks a WNBA owner currently losing money should double player salaries so that some 5-yr-old will decide they want to be rich, get into basketball, and then 15 yrs later, get drafted by that same owner thereby making their team more valuable.

Dumbest sports argument I've ever seen.

Bye unserious person.

04.08.2025 00:18 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

OMG. You really think owners would double salaries in order to maybe, hopefully, get lucky enough to draft some 5 year old who wants to be rich?

You are a non-serious person.

04.08.2025 00:17 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Again, you're misunderstanding equity vs revenue.

"You think that NBA play and league profitability did not improve when players got so much money?"

No. It did not. NBA play got better and then players got rewarded for that with more money.

04.08.2025 00:15 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

It's hilarious watching you flail away to completely unrelated topics.

No owner is doubling salaries in hopes that 15 years down the road they can draft a current 5-year-old who decided to play basketball so she could get rich. You hear how ridiculous that sounds, right?

04.08.2025 00:14 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

And no, the NBA players got more money when the NBA got more popular. Nobody is watching more because a player makes a lot of money.

The club provides trainers.

And again, if you have some proof personal trainers and chefs reduce injuries in WNBA players, post it.

(Hint: It's not an issue, because they play so few games.)

04.08.2025 00:10 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Of course they do. Most WNBA teams are owed by NBA owners. Making more use of capital assets (for example: their stadiums) makes those stadiums more valuable.

04.08.2025 00:09 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

There is zero evidence WNBA players get more injured because they don't have access to their own staff.

1) Expansion dilutes the player pool even MORE. So teams will have a tougher time being successful.

2) I mean, I want to play in the NFL. That doesn't mean I can. The additional players are the barely marginal ones that impact the game very little

3) They just extended the season and still lose $

04.08.2025 00:06 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

But they're not a startup. Doubling the salaries of the players you have doesn't improve the product. It's the same product, just twice as expensive.

04.08.2025 00:05 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

They aren't doing that because doubling players' salaries has no effect on output or revenue. It's a mostly closed system. The good players already play in the league. There's a salary cap.

04.08.2025 00:04 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Doubling the players's salaries will do nothing for growth. It's the same players doing the same thing.

04.08.2025 00:02 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

That's obvious?

WNBA teams LOSE money. There is no operating profit. Yet still have equity.
