Statement graphic with text: President Trump’s bill is anything but “beautiful.”
Hundreds of thousands of Massachusetts residents will lose their health care. Seniors, veterans, and families will lose their food assistance. Massachusetts’ green energy industry and thousands of associated jobs will be gutted, and we’ll be further than ever from our climate goals.
While the President and his colleagues once again place their rich friends’ bottom line over the needs of the average American, I will continue to work on your behalf and prove that we can have a thriving economy without it coming at the expense of our most vulnerable residents.

The Attorney General’s Office will continue to stand up for due process, assist with legal support and ensure people know their rights when ICE is present in their community.

Arresting people without any criminal record or allegations of criminal activity, detaining individuals in broad daylight without due process, and promising to patrol neighborhoods with no oversight is not reflective of a democratic society – it's a threat to it.

Today’s press conference from federal immigration officials failed to address the serious, unanswered questions surrounding recent sweeping enforcement actions in Massachusetts. These are actions that continue to lack transparency and instill fear in communities instead of protecting public safety.

From arresting parents in front of their children to pulling people who present no threat out of their cars in broad daylight, the aggressive ICE tactics we’re seeing don't protect the public and instead spread fear and mistrust.
Today, I'm releasing guidance on your rights when it comes to ICE.

Screenshot of remarks by VP Vance - highlighted text reads: I think that you are seeing, and I know this is inflammatory, but I think you are seeing an effort by the courts to quite literally overturn the will of the American people.
Vance is wrong. The law reflects the will of the majority not the whims of one man. Our democracy depends on courts to enforce the law, even against the government. Today's PI blocking the dismantling of the Dept of Ed proves that.
Without courts, we're on a path to authoritarianism.

Trump administration revokes Harvard’s ability to enroll international students, says thousands must transfer - The Boston Globe
The move throws foreign students’ academic futures into uncertainty just a week before graduation. International students make up approximately a quarter of Harvard’s student body.
Revoking Harvard's ability to enroll international students - and telling current ones to transfer or lose legal status - is political retaliation. International students enrich our classrooms, communities and economy. This office will support Harvard should they take legal action.

"Today's order releasing Rumeysa Ozturk is a welcome step toward justice and more evidence that the courts are doing their job to uphold people's rights. I am relieved and elated that Rumeysa can now return to her community here in Massachusetts.
This is just the first victory in a long legal road ahead - but the fact remains: Rumeysa's detention was unjust from the start. She is a law-abiding member of her community who was wrongly targeted by the federal administration because of her political views."

Supreme Court allows Trump to implement transgender military ban
The blanket ban, expanding on a similar policy Trump proposed in his first term, has been blocked nationwide by lower courts.
SCOTUS got this one wrong. This ban is cruel, blatant discrimination - plain and simple. If you're brave enough to risk your life for this country, your gender identity should never be a barrier.
I stand with our transgender service members.

Graphic with a statement by AG Campbell: The footage of Rumeysa Ozturk’s arrest – a student here legally – is disturbing. Based on what we now know, it is alarming that the federal administration chose to ambush and detain her, apparently targeting a law-abiding individual because of her political views. This isn’t public safety, it’s intimidation that will, and should, be closely scrutinized in court. My office is closely monitoring this matter as it develops.

Trump takes his plan to end birthright citizenship to the Supreme Court
The administration wants the court to limit the scope of lower court rulings against his executive order that would end automatic birthright citizenship.
You want to talk about government waste? Running to the Supreme Court because federal judges won’t let you take a sharpie to the 14th Amendment and 150 years of precedent is a waste of everyone’s time, money and resources.

Picture of AG Campbell speaking at a podium with text on the graphic: AG Campbell Issues Joint Statement On Lawsuit Against Trump Admin for Defunding Medical And Public Health Research
“This research funding covers expenses that facilitate critical components of biomedical research, such as lab, faculty, infrastructure and utility costs. Without it, lifesaving and life-extending research, including clinical trials, would be significantly compromised. These cuts would have a devastating impact on universities around the country, many of which are at the forefront of groundbreaking research efforts – while also training future generations of researchers and innovators.”
We're back in court today to fight against Trump's unlawful NIH funding cuts.
These cuts would undermine public health, Massachusetts' economy and competitiveness, and put jobs at risk. We're fighting back.
