Behind every statistic, there's a face. A life. A family. Colleagues in SSA are on edge, fearing potential cuts in ART funding. The ripple effect? Devastating. The CDC and WHO's coordination is crucial, but no more!

This decision to halt funding for crucial research will have far-reaching consequences, stifling medical breakthroughs and imperiling public health.

As we strive for virtue, let's confront the shadows within: selfishness, greed, and hatred. They whisper sweet nothings, justifying the unjustifiable. Why else would we deprive the poor of life-saving HIV medication, or strip healthcare from the vulnerable, only to lavish tax cuts on the privileged?

Can anyone illuminate the darkness of my cognitive dissonance, and explain why those who have risen to positions of influence and respect often succumb to the lure of self-preservation, abandoning the higher ideals that once guided them? #perplexed
