It will never not be hilarious to me, in the most depressing way, that the "WORDS CANT HURT PEOPLE" crowd are so upset over specific protest chants, pronouns, etc.

To be honest, there have been so many issues with discord over the years that I think a lot of us are just one small thing away from leaving it. Regardless of nuance, having a company with a proven questionable past, including around data security, require photos and ID to use it fully is enough

Sadly so many Australians here are trying to say that the protesters deserved this shit. Its so disgusting :(

I've seen some noise made about Stout as an alternative... but sort of waiting to see where everyone moves to before bothering to look into options much myself.

So do we have an agreed upon discord alternative we are all gonna jump ship to or not yet? Someone suggested Stout but I've never used anything like discord that wasn't discord...

The feelings I have after going along to an anti-herzog protest in Adelaide yesterday, as my first protest, then seeing the footage from Sydney... are weird and terrifying. I can see how fear works... gotta make sure to get out to the next one too!

Went to my first protest today... Social anxiety has always gotten in the way but jesus it was so nice to see so many people, and specifically so many DIFFERENT TYPES of people, out there speaking up :)

One of our cats had to be rushed to a vet hospital yesterday and spent 24 hours in there. While talking to the vets they asked "is it okay if we use AI to record this conversation as text"... And like... I get why that would be useful but ugh -.-

God its hard to focus on being productive with everything going on 😞

I literally just end up walking everywhere and dealing with it. I know its my brain being dumb because even with the slow/clunky anim it IS faster with the mount... but it just feels so bad to use the mount in that case

A big pet peeve of mine in video games is when the game requires a lot of traversal (eg. RPGs where you have to hand in quests a lot) AND they give you a mount, but they make the animation for getting on and off the mount SO GODDAMN SLOW it feels slower than just walking everywhere even if its not

One of my pet peeves in modern game design is the tendency to highlight new items, tutorials, entries, etc. with either text reading "NEW" or a bright yellow exclamation mark or similar. I understand the function, but please can we normalise a "clear all" or turning the system off in options. PLEASE

Though... to be fair I haven't played an Ubisoft game since the giant info dump about all the sexual abuse and so on in that company... So I guess even if I did care about AAA it would probably not be on my radar much

Everyone posting about what appears to be the beginning of Ubisoft finally dying really just makes me reflect on how little I care about the AAA space. Obviously I don't want people losing jobs and all that, but indie games are where all the interesting stuff is at for me, without exception
