Recovered all of my accounts since the incident, thank goodness for that. Not the funnest 2 days ever

Our discord was compromised in a spoofing attack that bypassed Discord's 2FA authentication. The attacker deleted the discord server. The server will be rebuilt and a new link posted to the website and socials today. No GunplaCentral accts are at risk, we do not store login credentials on the site.

What a night, someone spoofed my number to hack into an old email and compromise several other accounts in an attempt to ransom me. The thing they wanted to ransom me for? An old Roblox account. Yes, I'm serious. I've recovered the original email and almost all of the accounts they got into ATP.

Are those individuals experts on at least one thing in your experience? Part of this could be due to the sheer number of technologies developers work with regularly. It’s simply impossible to be an expert on everything. Beyond that, selecting for openness makes absolute sense!

I’m in the process of transitioning to full stack development and I’d like to get immersed into the web dev community, if you’re a full stack developer or software engineer lets connect! I have a lot to learn but this platform has been SO supportive in every exchange I’ve had. Will post more soon!

They are implicit, which makes it hard to tell where the interface is implemented, and how to implement it. A strange change in philosophy when the language dislikes implicit behavior in other areas like type conversions. I find it extremely difficult to follow but am still a Go noob.

Implementing interfaces in Golang makes me feel so stupid, why is something that’s normally so easy so confusing in this language dude

Took me less than 2 days to switch over my desktop to being dual boot AND porting over my laptop to bring a Linux machine. It is SO worth it

The amount of time wasted because of “bus factor” is less than the time it would take for someone to get up to speed on your task if you WERE to get hit by a bus. It’s so annoying. Just trust me to take the task from end-to-end! I’ll even write docs and tests!!

Contact support. Had issues similar to this myself and they were able to recover. That was a long time ago but it’s not hopeless yet. I’d give it a try.

Why run make clean to build from scratch when you can clone the entire repo again?

If you’re not a developer I can understand this POV. End users just use their OS as a program launcher, and all user-facing consumer software is windows-first. As a developer I’ve loved it since swapping and now dual-boot my home computer and switched my laptop to Linux.
