Today is Emancipation Day in Canada, across the Caribbean, and other regions - marking the day slavery was abolished in the British Empire. My book, The Book of Possibilities, has been featured on a few Emancipation Day reading lists, and I'm grateful!

Lemme tell y'all a bit about the day:

This All-Black Boys Gymnastics Team Is Battling to Survive — But It’ll Take More Than Money The young Black boys of the James Jones Gymnastics Academy have outgrown their current location, with some “kicking the ceiling.”

I talked with James Jones, who is fighting to find a new location for his all-Black boys gymnastics team so the program can continue to change lives

Had a really good convo with my little one about a new change that's coming up and how she's sad to lose the old thing. We talked about being realistic (recognizing that we're sad to lose the old thing and maybe a bit scared of the new), being optimistic, and being pessimistic.

This week we will be fundraising to help the #SnackSociety

Once a year we fundraise to help the littles in our community consider making a donation to our community for school supplies

Kids love cleaning cars. I bought a pole with a window cleaning attachment and a sponge attachment. They can clean the car with help and not get wet. They love admiring their work when it's done
