In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists when unprovoked — what would we call it?
If federal agents marched down streets demanding papers — what would we say?
Authoritarianism — let’s not pretend it’s something else when it happens in our American cities.
- you clean up that banksy?
- sure did, your honour, leaving a perfect, permanent outline, imbuing the work with real fuckin gravitas while making its point better than the artist did himself just like you asked
Clearing encampments and throwing people in jail does NOTHING to actually get Americans off the streets.
Homelessness is not a personal failure, it’s a policy failure. Congress must pass my Housing Not Handcuffs Act with @frost.house.gov.

After exactly 21 years, I’m leaving Amazon to focus on my own goals. I’ve never been more excited.

Our current implementation predates the scope-set paper, so it follows the historical algorithm. Which means the code is SUPER hard to understand and probably buggy. Replacing it isn't a priority right now, but I'm itching to replace it.
It’s Amazon’s internal language, Fusion, coming soon to GitHub under the name Ion Fusion. Effectively a mini-Racket using Amazon Ion as its concrete syntax, aimed at simplifying Ion/JSON data processing.

I’d particularly love to see how Racket implements binding resolution and scope sets.
Keep your messaging simple:
“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”
That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.

The main joke people are making in response to Thompson’s death is merely to treat it with the bloodless bureaucratic indifference that these companies perfected.
