My son-in-law is from Bangladesh. He has a good education and job, but he had to work very hard to get there, with a lot of support. Let us treat all these TFWs with respect as they make their way to a good life in Canada, and help the Canadian economy.

Another very valid point. TFWs are often more reliable and will accept lower pay. On the island, I hear people complaining that TFWs live in overcrowded homes. WTF. They can't afford their own places on the wages they get. Excuse the rant.

This is an extraordinary article in many ways. But:

1) “it left unarmed North Koreans dead” is a polite way of phrasing “SEALS killed them.”

2) It isn’t until paragraph 59 that the NYT tells us the people the seals killed were civilians. They were fishing, and America killed them.

RFK Jr. as HHS Secretary will be catastrophic for science & public health. If this man who has spent forty years eroding trust in science and public health is installed in this role, there may truly be no turning back.
