18.06.2025 08:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Woah. This is next level authoritarianism: put your political opponents in prison. #Americans: rise up some more. You have done brilliantly with #NoKings but this is bad. Really really bad.

02.03.2025 10:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The great thing with Signal is that not only is it more secure and operated by better people, but it's also flat out the better product in terms of usability and aesthetics. Also no weird AI bots, solid desktop version, and great videoconferencing.

๐ค do you hear the party sing?
Singing the song of angry men
It is the music of a party
Who will not be elected again
Looking forward to Kemi Badenoch's further forays into popular culture, in which she prosecutes Oliver Twist for begging, Kevin McCallister for assault, and Santa for failure to take an obviously sick reindeer to the vet

07.12.2024 16:00 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh, and because STV is used in fact no candidates were directly elected in my region.

So my region is a few districts in central Vienna that could elect 3 candidates. Single transferrable vote with d'Hont weighting to state and federal level. 183 members overall.

07.12.2024 14:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is not the ideal reminder when a storm is happening on the west coast of Great Britain that will probably continue until after nightfall. But thanks for developing the model.
07.12.2024 14:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0a graph showing sunset times for different locations in NE US/southern Canada. The curves look approximately quadratic, with Dover NH and Hamilton ON slightly later than Newton/Somerville MA. Earliest sunset is Dec 06. From Dec 2 to Dec 10 the difference in sunset time is only about 0.5 minutes
Someone on Mastodon reminded me that it's "analemma day" (~ earliest sunset of the year in the Northern Hemisphere)
