if you are ever passing through New Cross Gate on the train look out for the one there on the sidings. Rumour is it was planted by a bonsai enthusiast in the 1980s - biggest bonsai I've ever seen ;-) But that is just local rumour.

at midnight I did a chunk of the Everyman crossword before going to bed. This morning it has all gone. As have some (but not all) previous puzzles I'd done. I still also can't find anywhere on the site where it gives you answers to old puzzles to check. Grrr. Rant over

Lewisham has some truly truly lovely bits. Telegraph Hill, Hilly Fields - and quite a lot of Blackheath. What's great is not letting people know so they remain nice and quiet ;-)
