DOJ orders prison inspectors to stop considering LGBTQ safety standards A memo obtained by NPR shows the Justice Department is telling inspectors to stop evaluating prisons using standards designed to protect trans and other LGBTQ community members from sexual violence.

At every level this administration is pushing the most sadistic, immoral, eliminationist agenda possible.

More Than 170 U.S. Citizens Have Been Held by Immigration Agents. They’ve Been Kicked, Dragged and Detained for Days. The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes people who were held for days without a lawyer. And near...

Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents.

They’ve had their necks kneeled on.

They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear.

At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them.

I genuinely believe it's impossible to have these three things at the same time:

- An intimate knowledge of the events of the Uvalde shooting.
- A basic understanding of firearms.
- A belief that gun control is good and that police will effectively respond to threats.

You can at most pick two.

O'Hara: "There's folks that are masked, they may be kidnapping people. We have had those reports. The community should know that if you see something like that, you should call 911. Let's not forget -- we very recently had tragedy in this state by someone who was purporting to be law enforcement."

The president is a political cartoon of corruption come to life, a gaudy grifter who is selling off pardons and lining his pockets, building a golden ballroom and protecting his fellow sex predator elites, all the while regular Americans are suffering and struggling to make ends meet.

Run on *that*

Overall, this is a decent article filled with great insight and we're appreciative of the many clarification articulations throughout including the hard data supported reality that LGBTQ Americans are not any sort of offensive threat.

If the Republicans have decided that they want to die on the hill that troops should obey illegal orders and that encouraging them not to is a threat to Trump's defense policy, then I say let them.

The pedophilic wannabe-dictator wants you to be too scared to be willing to stand

In these trying times it's critically important to remember that courage is not the absence of fear

Courage is taking a stand despite the fear

Don't fight it or hide from it, let it pass through you and motivate

They lied about it. All of it. A thug cop shot an unarmed woman five times without justification, boasted about it to his colleagues, and then this administration tried cover it all up by arresting her and charging her with felonies.

“Page from an American Psychiatric Association letter on APA letterhead. The top includes the APA logo and address, followed by a partially redacted recipient name at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The letter is dated July 17, 2025, updated September 26, 2025, and references a request for APA to review the HHS report Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices. The body text states that while the HHS report aims to be a thorough, evidence-based assessment of gender-affirming care for transgender youth, its methodology lacks transparency and clarity. Highlighted passages note missing explanations of literature selection criteria, analytical frameworks, and justification for excluding studies, concluding that the report does not meet the methodological rigor required for clinical policy guidance. Below are bullet-point comments criticizing the lack of author identification and unclear study selection methods. Page number 7 appears in the bottom right corner.”

    Query successful

A block of text from a document concerning a report's methodological clarity and critique.

The text highlights several concerns:

The Report fails to address the risk of confirmation bias, defined as the cognitive inclination to favor information that affirms one's existing beliefs while discounting or overlooking evidence that challenges them.

Confirmation bias manifests because the Report fails to take into consideration conclusions of the Cass Review that do not support the Report's outcome, such as the need for comprehensive and individualized assessment for transgender youth.

A highlighted section reads: "There is no indication that key stakeholders - namely, transgender individuals, their families, and clinicians - were consulted or that their perspectives were considered. A comprehensive review of best practices would include input from recipients (both those for whom treatment was beneficial, and those for whom it was not), families, and providers of the treatments under evaluation."

Another highlighted section reads: "While the Report is clear about the potential harms of intervening medically, it does not apply any kind of rational scrutiny to potential harms that have been associated with withholding intervention, including higher rates of depression, anxiety, suicidality, and social withdrawal."

The text notes the Report draws heavily from the Cass Review, which has been criticized for its methodological flaws.

Finally, three academic studies/reports are listed for further reading, concerning psychosocial functioning in transgender youth after hormones and psychological outcome after puberty suppression.

The American Psychiatric Association did review it and it was so scathing that no reputable journal would ever have published this report with such glaring conflicts of interest, methodological flaws, and a refusal to even name the authors. The Endocrine Society and AAP declined to engage w/ it.

"Donald Trump’s claims that Mohammed bin Salman knew nothing about the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi directly contradict a CIA report concluding the crown prince approved it. This deliberate whitewashing of the past — alongside an attempt to blame the victim — marks a new low for an administration that shows at every turn how little regard it has for truth or the free press. Trump's remark that 'things happen' and that 'a lot of people didn’t like' Khashoggi echoes the president’s broader efforts to minimize and justify attacks on the press." — CPJ MENA Regional Director Sara Qudah

Since everyone is rightly focused on the Epstein files, now would be a good time to remind you:

Child marriage is legal in 34 states across the US. That’s almost 70% of this nation.

How about we end that?
