Fun outing with colleagues π§ββοΈ
Last September, a team from @zalf.bsky.social won 2nd place at the ProWissen 10K team race in Potsdam. Last Sunday, we redeemed our prize and went bouldering. Super fun!

Also, not sure whether this goes in this direction, but maybe this literature review helps:

The only one I found was that one, but you are probably aware of that already:

Unfortunately, no. I had the very same discussion with a colleague just yesterday. TC, in general, appears to be some sort of black box, as there is very little empirical evidence on that. If you find something, please let me know.

In this study, we define, categorize, and systematically describe best practices and barriers to implementing preference elicitation lab-in-the-field experiments with farmers based on qualitative, in-depth interviews with researchers from the Research Network on Economic Experiments for the Common Agricultural Policy (REECAP). Following an assessment of the challenges the researchers faced and the solutions they adopted, we provide a step-by-step guide to conducting such experiments. We elaborate on limitations and provide recommendations and suggestions for future research.
New paper on the lessons learned from conducting lab-in-the-field experiments with European farmers.

Conference Landscape 2024 Agroecosystems in Transformation: Visions, Technologies and Actors 17 - 19 September 2024 Berlin, Germany landscape2024.org
Keynotes // Scientific sessions // Poster sessions // and more! Rationale and Aims The LANDSCAPE 2024 conference will bring together international experts to discuss the transformation of agroecosystems. The conference will address the importance of visions for the future of agricultural landscapes as well as the roles of innovative technologies and actors in driving sustainable changes in these landscapes. Focusing on the landscape level, the conference provides a unique opportunity for researchers from various domains to share their knowledge and experiences and contribute to the transformation of agroecosystems. LANDSCAPE 2024 invites scientific contributions from multiple disciplines relevant to agricultural landscapes and agroecosystems, including crop and soil sciences, ecology, land systems sciences and bio- and digital technology-associated sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

Analysis of contract design features
Going through the literature, we structured the empirical studies into two groups: 1) studies analysing land use prescriptions, and 2) studies analysing precise contract design features.
Based on this classification, we analyse and compare the findings of respective subcategories.
