Following World War II, the Allied Control Council seized IG Farben's assets because of its role in the Nazi war effort and involvement in the Holocaust, including using slave labour from concentration camps and humans for dangerous medical testing, and production of Zyklon B, a chemical used in gas chambers. In 1951, IG Farben was split into its constituent companies, and Bayer was reincorporated as Farbenfabriken Bayer AG. After the war, Bayer re-hired several former Nazis to high-level positions, including convicted Nazi war criminals found guilty at the IG Farben Trial like Fritz ter Meer. Bayer played a key role in the Wirtschaftswunder in post-war West Germany, quickly regaining its position as one of the world's largest chemical and pharmaceutical corporations. In 2016, Bayer merged with the American multinational Monsanto in what was the biggest acquisition by a German company to date. However, owing to the massive financial and reputational blows caused by ongoing litigation concerning Monsanto's herbicide Roundup, the deal is considered one of the worst corporate mergers in history.

"Agnostic" by itself tends to be "I choose not to take a stance in whether there is a god or isn't a god." Long story short, I think we're just using different terms for the same thing and I got hung up on it.

The definitions are def inconsistent. I consider myself "agnostic atheist," since my stance is "no god until evidence proves otherwise." I've heard what you describe ("no god, period") called either "atheist" or "anti-theist." I prefer to label them anti-theist based on your original critique.

Isn't that multinational social and political pressure a form of enforcement? It is consequences for member actions. It just doesn't seem to be enough when certain member nations have inordinate military power. I'm certainly not advocating for a global police force.

Bigger point here is that Meta not only tracks its users' every interaction, its aim is to deeply analyze your behavior to the point of replication. After that, it can run millions of simulations to find the most convincing way to sell you a certain product, certain views, or certain politics.

Does anybody have data on what infrastructure is being bought for the death camps? I feel like we should keep our eyes on that since it points to their intended uses, beyond just the purchase of warehouses. E.g., at some point Nazi Germany bought Zyklon B, gas tanks, train tracks, razor wire, etc.
