Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

I think, culturally, masc. has been used as a catch-all for “doing.” It’s thought of as “active.”

Naturally, the opposite is viewed as “feminine.”

Until we’re ready to embrace the idea that gender norms are an equal continuum w/in each of us, I don’t think change will happen.

I am usually more sanguine than some others when the Supreme Court hands down nasty opinions, but y'all, I am really stuck on Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo.

Presidential immunity was dangerous but unsurprising. Many other shadow docket rulings have been dumbfounding. Today was nakedly invidious.

Once Donald Trump gets the citizens of this nation comfortable with the current atrocities committed under the color of law – what comes next?

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left."

It’s between democracy and oligarchy.

The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.

The GOP governors of South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee have all sent their states' National Guard troops to assist Trump's occupation of DC.

All four of those states have cities with crime rates higher than DC.

This was never about "fighting crime."

And even if you’re not Jewish or Christian with a religious expectation to not harm immigrants, it’s also just basic human decency to not be a FUCKING DICK to strangers.
