They've certainly got *me* excited, anyway. Missing Link Sunstreaker is the first Transformer I've bought since... well, Missing Link Bumblebee and Cliffjumper.

All great choices, but for me the huge-honking-obvious "We can dream, can't we?" contender has to be Jetfire. The character means more to me than any other except perhaps the Dinobots, and how incredible would an already amazing toy be with extra range of motion in the hips and ankles?

He looks very nice, but I didn't buy him. He didn't appear in the western Transformers fiction at the time, so I have zero emotional connection to the character. I'm very happy with my Missing Link Sunstreaker, though.

When you say that the old form stopped working, exactly how broken is it? Are those first 300,000 fesses just gone? Is that the reason for the regular “Fesshole is looking for YOUR confessions” posts now?

You said you had something like 300,000 confessions – so many the original form stopped working. Did you lose access to it or something? If not, maybe you could dip back in and publish some fesses that aren’t from adults who have difficulty toileting and people who won’t talk to their partners?

Nothing is more disappointing than when a podcaster you like decides to be a YouTuber, and their podcast just turns into the audio taken from their videos, including them making repeated references to stuff you can’t see, and never explaining what it is. Rather bigger downgrade.

MP-10 – the Takara one, with the correct darker colours – is far from perfect, but remains the best of this bunch. I've found all subsequent attempts disappointing.

I'm not bothered about Ultra Magnus, but I'd buy a full set of Missing Link Dinobots. Missing Link is the most excited I've been about official Transformers since the Shogo Hasui days of the Masterpiece line.

This was all a decade or more before Fury Road. Now, when I think back, I sometimes wonder that when somebody did something that would now be accompanied by a cry of “WITNESS ME”, I was the poor bloody witness they’d have been referring to, whether I wanted to be or not.

Then there was the time I arrived for a party to find the stairwell strewn with plaster. The ceiling above had fallen in due to a water leak. “What’s with the plaster all over the floor?” I asked when I got inside. “What plaster all over the floor?” came the reply. They hadn’t even noticed.

Like the guy who inexplicably had one of those big Victorian-style cast-iron bed with the wheels. When he moved out he disassembled it, reassembled it in the street outside, piled all his possessions on top of it, and then just wheeled the whole lot away, never to be seen or heard from again.

Even after he finally left, his disgusting underwear lay on the bathroom floor under the sink for longer than I dare to think. When it was finally removed – using a broom handle and a black plastic bag – there were mushrooms growing on the linoleum underneath it.

Like the other guy who lived on their sofa for several weeks and didn’t wash the whole time. Eventually the stench got so bad a couple of the women who actually did live there lured him into the bathroom under false pretences, bodily shoved him into the bath, and forcibly washed him.
