The only advice I can really give is practice. When I decided to use a brush mainly, I did EVERYTHING with the brush. Backgrounds, straight lines, etc. I think it's the best way to get comfortable. Figuring out line weights and such kinda just becomes second.

Nope, no diluting. Just straight from the bottle to the page. Of course it gets diluted when I do washes and such. I mostly use Dr PH MARTIN BOMBAY for black. I generally use a no.2 Raphael brush. But I use brush pens here and there too. Pens as well. But mostly just ink and brush.... (more)
