Feeling so freaking happy right now.

I have made some fun new friends, hung out with long time close friends, and done a lot of crafting and productive things I cannot wait to share.

I'm treating my body better, budgeting better, and learning so much at my job. So happy and in love with life. 💜🎉

Weapons was a solid movie. More streamlined than Barbarian. I don't know which one I like better between the two.

I'm so used to sleeping on the floor or a relatively hard surface that sleeping in a soft bed this past weekend messed up my back. 🛌

I'm starting to feel less pain after sleeping on the floor again and doing some yoga stretching, but it's been a slow recovery process for such a small thing.

Looking for an apartment:

Learning to tolerate my commute by doing things in the area closer to my work before making the drive home. I wound up climbing at the gym for an hour, going grocery shopping then being home the same time as if I had just driven straight home...wtf.

I cancelled my Amazon prime last year and haven't looked back. Started shopping at only my local grocery store and farmers markets since the beginning of this year. Trying my absolute best to put my money into local business and not big box as much as I can.

And what about us listening to it on a loop in college on a road trip?

Omg! What a gift!!

The world and characters were very immersive, but I already knew what was going to happen about 1/3 of the way through. About halfway through it felt like a loop of miscommunication on top of reliving traumatic flashbacks over and over. I still enjoyed it overall, but it sits at a 3.5 for me.

I also saw my first suspension aerialists in my life and it was so frickin cool. As much as I hate living in LA, it's experiences like these that keep me happy.

It's been a week. I almost gave my dog a whole week's worth of food for dinner. Haha

I also found the joy in games again recently. I was in a slump for a while and was nostalgic for the feeling of playing games like I did in high school. I realize that the indie game scene brought joy back into gaming for me and the steam deck has definitely been a catalyst for rekindling that love.

Someone mentioned to me that this was a parody of romantasy. Is this true? If so I'll give it a higher star rating because if so then it's genius. If no...then definitely knot for me. 🙃

Okay okay, I'll drag myself to the movie theater to see "The Brutalist" now. I learned it has an intermission so I don't have to worry about a pee break (my only reason for not going).

I really really wanted to like "I saw the TV glow". The aesthetic and VFX are beyond beautiful, and while visually it was up my alley, the storytelling/overall arc was much too art house for my liking. I didn't feel much of anything after finishing the movie, unfortunately. :<
