Trump kills Ukraine?

Wise analysis. But where do we go from here? It’s hard to climb out of the pan.

Mmm. Does Trump have Russian connections? He certainly acts like it.
19.11.2025 18:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Labour’s good principles must negotiate democratic reality.
The public, indeed the party, hold so many different and strongly held opinions that Labour is in danger of losing its small grasp on achieving anything worthy.
Internal conflict in a democratic UK simply leads to huge steps backward.
Reducing thresholds is just another way of increasing income tax. The Chancellor would be very unwise to do that - not least because it conflicts with manifesto commitments, but it’s also sneaky.
14.11.2025 13:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Certainly debatable but I agree that the defensive tone was unhelpful and I don’t think Tim Davie should have resigned - at least yet. I like your idea of ‘yes, mistakes made but thanks for keeping us honest!’
11.11.2025 19:34 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Not really. The programme seems to have captured the essence of Trump’s relationship with violent protesters quite well. It could have been done better but fact that there was almost an hour between elements of the words used by the program is not material, IMO, to the portrayal of part he played.
11.11.2025 18:39 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It represented the day and Trump’s part in it, but not in the best way!
11.11.2025 18:27 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The BBC should not apologise for creating a summary of events that captured the essence of Trump’s speech and the ensuing events. Trump should have to prove that this programme caused him harm long after he had caused harm to himself and to America.
11.11.2025 18:23 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Scary, unfair and beyond reasonable in a purportedly civilised society.
14.10.2025 17:05 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Goodness me. Israel flattened Gaza - it’s hardly surprising that hostages bodies are missing or hard to find.
President #Trump had better get hold of #Netanyahu by the scruff of the neck and pull it in.
If he ensures an everlasting peace in Gaza and Israel, helps create a Palestinian Country & returns Ukraine to Ukraine I’m quite happy to give him a Peace prize. That irrespective of the fact that giving a peace prize to a man who wages war against his own citizens devalues the award in perpetuity.
10.10.2025 18:43 — 👍 1 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social abolishing stamp duty is a foolish idea that will simply boost house prices and reduce government income. Absolutely barmy.
08.10.2025 22:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Where are the savings from abolishing Stamp Duty? House prices will rise and the Treasury will be poorer. Who are your advisers, #Badenoch?
08.10.2025 21:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0#conservativeconference #Badenoch
House prices are determined by supply (restricted) & demand (considerable).
Abolishing Stamp Duty will deplete Treasury Income & fuel house prices. It is not a good idea and will aggravate the housing problem.
It would be better raising SD, not abolishing it.
Well said Bishop of Birmingham. Perhaps Mr Jenrick should focus upon fixing political division. I would like to live in a country where politicians & their policies are properly integrated & look after the whole country.
Tory politicians too often disregard or disrespect 48% of the popn!
Day one of the Tory Party conference and the #Tory party is reinvented as the Racist party.
07.10.2025 21:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Keir Starmer, "Before we left the EU we had a returns agreement (for asylum seekers) with every country in the EU"
"These are Farage' Brexit Boats that are coming across the channel"
It’s an understandable idea, given current political issues, albeit very tricky when one gets down to details! I suspect the idea will be gently dropped for people who have a good UK employment record, can support their families who can all pass an English test!
29.09.2025 22:54 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0#Kier needs to look at things differently but I do not think Andy Burnham is doing the Labour Party any favours. In fact he could kill it in the same way that Tory leadership challenges simply escalated their demise.
Labours good work is yet to ripple through - just give them a chance.
Shame. The #paraolympics now committee have allowed the return of Russian and Belarus teams.
27.09.2025 18:03 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Indeed, Ben. Autism is associated with tremendous abilities but also with different learning styles to those who aren’t autistic.
We all develop at different pace & our school system isn’t designed for difference. It must change to release the potential that so many autistic people have.
Andy #Burnham ‘s done a wonderful job in Manchester. Keir #Starmer has done a great job on the international front. But as I see it what they have in common is putting their big feet in the wrong place at a bad time.
Labour can’t afford internal fights. Labour must come together & start afresh.
Farage carping again.
And failing to follow scientific guidance simply to protect his pal, ‘injecting disinfectant’, Donald Trump would be laughable if it wasn’t worrying! Or was he just swanning about!

If you ever want to have Healthcare do not vote Reform.
You are all on Nigel Farage's list.
Free Speech - provided you say what I think. Mmm.
How does that square with your First Amendment, #America?
All that’s too obvious and sensible for the current administration!
