The playing and (especially) singing were excellent. But the minimal stage-design, personenregie and overall direction made it barely better than a concert performance. Visually very bland and uninvolving.

Delighted to sing Charles Stanford's Requiem at Dublin National Concert Hall with the NSO tonight - a hugely underrated work! Should be on the RTÉ player soon...
