I'm listening to my sister talk to a friend of hers on FaceTime, and the plethora of "the Lord will provide" and "Jesus take the wheel" comments and general point of view is making my face crinkle.

My neighbor has clearly got a few screws loose. It's cold as balls out there, we had freezing rain this morning, and he's out on his motorcycle??‽ He must want hypothermia. Current "feels like" is 14°F.

Sure, walk your dog, take the trash to the curb, etc. but riding your just-for-kicks bike? Fool.

I've lived in this half of the silly state for more than 20 years now (what‽) and I still can't get used to the hysteria that temps below 36°F cause. And tonight we're sinking to 21°? I mean, suspend all activities and await the coming of your Lord, I guess.

So I'm standing in a bakery, waiting for my food to be done, and I noticed a giant mixer in the background. The label on the mixer is douche-pro. Except, no it's not! It's dough e-pro. Reading skills are important!

I'm not surprised by it, but I'm still always amazed by what a huge difference it makes to put on even a thin layer of clothes. I mean, sure, a big coat will obviously warm you up, but so will some whispy pajamas (when compared to bare skin). It's wild, really.

The problem with the people in ICE is that they don't care if they have to break a few laws to get to their end goal.
So, people who are following laws to try to get them to stop will be utterly unsuccessful. You simply can't beat a cheater without cheating, especially when the gov't is behind them.

Federal agents are pulling over off duty cops based on the color of their skin.

This is not a serious operation to enforce immigration law. It’s a performative show of force and it’s gotten way out of hand.

I had big plans for my weekend. But instead I did other things ... which were also important, but *sigh* not on my official list of to-do's.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

As it turns out, I'm kinda obsessed with it, and play 5-10 games each day. I have learned to ignore the misspellings.

Do you ever have that moment where you see somebody and immediately categorize them as a senior citizen, but then you look closer and think "well, maybe they're actually only 42, but they've had a really hard life"?

Over the past several days I've oft thought "I should go to bed earlier."

The issue is that the thought tends to come to mind around 1:30am... which is far too late to get to bed "early" by any reputable standard.

The past two days I drove across a swath of the country, and it was appalling how many pro-trɥmp billboards I passed.
Why and how could anyone still possibly want to support such vile behaviors?!

Please share my misery: I was just minding my beeswax, carrying a bunch of towels/blankets I had hung out to dry. (It's warm/sunny enough, and winter is often dryer than summer. It works.)
