Okay so my partner Wyatt just *made* me the single most incredible gift: a wooden palette with a hand-carved grip and replaceable glass surface. The wood is ""Patagonian rosewood"" and is shellac'd for ease of cleaning paint off.

First time in maybe 20 years since I last drew an Ixi.

The basic yellow Ixi has still gotta be my favorite pet/color combination, tho there've been beautiful additions since.

Eeeee I'm so excited...
For digital art I've mostly been using a plug-in-the-computer drawing tablet which was a huge upgrade from my screenless one. But it's still a hassle to get everything plugged in and situated because I like using a laptop. So having a standalone tablet is gonna rule so hard

Actually I think I'm gonna get an android tablet after all. Ipads are just too expensive if I want the bells and whistles I was looking for, so if I can't have those I may as well stick to what I'm familiar with. Shame procreate is only on apple but I'm sure there are some good android apps too
