I've been ranting about this. The whole system is probabilistic right down to the atomic clouds.

Extremely proud of Rachael @neurohoke.bsky.social and Kiara for this work. I have learned so much working with @talliezee.bsky.social and the whole team.

Yes!!!! The snow in Phila formed these bricks and all I wanted was to build an igloo. But I was too cold.

Just spoke to The Hill about how the dismantling of the NIH is impacting science in America. We still face a cliff of unfathomable heights, w easily 1000+ labs poised to close in the next year due to funding ending. A generation of young scientists lost because there is nowhere for them to train.

big ups to #eneuro @sfnjournals.bsky.social for Reviewer Consultation. Peer review is essential to generating rigorous science and communicating it clearly. Yet authors get bogged down with many requests. #eneuro's approach to address this using reviewer consultation and consensus is a win for all.

Submitted my grant today for the December 8th deadline. Not Dec 10 - I don't have cs anymore since my ss was dissolved. Dec 8 would have been November 19th which would have been November 5th since I had study section on November 12th to 13th which is actually on January 12th to 13th. Any questions?

for my part, on a very basic level, anyone that thinks their man-made system is more interesting/complex/smarter/life-like than what a billion years of evolution has produced, understands very very little about the natural world

I often generate ideas through a conversation, and the bot is great at that. I like to use it as a little buddy to help me process externally and not tie up my trainees' time. Not to the exclusion of thinking aloud with trainees, but as an extra. It doesn't feel like hell. The bot is so encouraging!
