I remember last year posing the question, what will ICE do when it starts running out of immigrants to terrorise? The answer horrifies me.

I think like most people around the world, I remain haunted by what is occuring in America, citizens being executed, the lies, the cover ups, the disdain shown by Government towards the victims.

The other week at work all of us were autistic and just talking and listening without having to mask was just such a truly beautiful moment in my life, I wish I could experience it more often.

2/2 A4 #Autchat and whilst there remains appalling "therapies" for autistic children and adults then I remain cautiously optimistic that the beliefs about autism will continue to change more positively over the next few generations, but remain cautious.

1/2 A4 #Autchat I remain cautious, I look at how politically unstable the world is, I look at the impact of people like Musk and Kanye West have had propagating negative images of autistic people. We need to promote postive autistic role models and not fixate on the worst

A3 #Autchat Social media without question as it allowed autistic people to communicate. But it hasnt been a perfect change either, I remain quite haunted by how some autistic people spoke to and treated others on media like Twitter.

A2 #Autchat I see it change, but the whole conversation remains marred by stereotypes and people talking over autistic people. My own understanding, I'm late diagnosed so I continue to learn things all the time but with the backdrop of a lot of past trauma to contend with, it isnt easy.

I prefer writing, its a slower pace, I can think at a comfortable pace and it isnt as confrontational to me.

Usually, online I have no problems coming up with a few choice words to say on the matter at hand; but here I am quite flabbergasted, now we have two people who are going to dominate autistic talk online, the anti-role models as it where. This saddens me greatly for the autistic community.

Call me old fashioned but Im pretty sure the majority of the worlds population would rather know why the super rich, and the megacorporations are able to get away with paying little to no taxes.

As much as I am glad to see this happen and I found the whole boycott protests throughly exhausting (I had a lovely email exchange with the person who signed off the funding for the study); the fact that they still plan to access DNA through available samples is inherently wrong.

I agree with Debs, dont ever feel compelled to post proof you are autistic on line, it is the bane of so many autistic adults...
