How do you know they are Italian? I mean, I could make an account with an Italian-sounding name too.
Don’t take internet people to heart. Otherwise, bad actors will take advantage. Seriously. It’s true.
Not really. Bots aren’t interesting. They are just bots.

They are most likely bots. But bots are run by humans, so posting about this could be rewarding them for targeting you. Who cares what random internet losers/people think?
If R2P is a universal principle rather than a geopolitical tool, when do we start debating its applicability to domestic crises in the United States?

It’s as if being exposed to something once means you’re instantly & utterly engulfed & influenced by it. But I grew up being exposed to straight people everywhere… TV, movies, real life…& I’m still queer. 🤷
It would be interesting to see the generational breakdown…

I wonder how long it’ll take before they realise it isn’t an algorithm problem, and they’re not being censored — people are just disengaging from them and their views.
This is frightening. I have so many questions. Why? Did he not realise he had not said those things? Or, did he not realise that most people could instantly see that the video is AI? Or, did he just want to confuse everyone? Regardless of the answer, we should all be very concerned for Americans.

So many questions. So, so many questions.
We talk about social media algorithms, but maybe the real issue is ‘engagement addiction’ — the endless craving for clicks, fights, and validation.

Now we know.
This black-and-white thinking frustrates me to no end. “I’m in a relationship with 1/1.4 billionth of China; therefore I know how all Chinese think” is just… ignorant. And “the West”? What even is that? My Chinese partners were never offended when I said “I love you” — and the same goes in reverse.

I was in my own little bubble down in Guangzhou before I realised there was also an expat scene (after 4+ years🤭) there. Good memories.

I think some people in Australia need to be reminded that we aren’t the U.S. Their culture wars are not ours to fight.
Condemn political violence, offer sympathies to those left behind. But mourning his passing as an Aussie? That’s ideological, and a serious reason to reflect.
…you don’t, that’s fine too.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Kirk’s family and children, and the innocent people who had to witness and experience such a horrifying incident.
But I am not mourning the death of an American political pundit. And I certainly do not wish to see people turn him…
…we follow the law and pay our taxes. That is all that Australia demands from you. Not performative patriotism, or flag-flying, and we rarely sing the national anthem. Unless we are watching sport.
Australia is great because it doesn’t demand you to love it. Love it if you want (I do), but if…
…someone they look up to or admired.
But Kirk’s political beliefs are un-Australian. Australia has its flaws, but we aren’t divided like the U.S. Most people accept LGBTQ rights and choose unity over culture wars.
In Australia, people have the right to be whoever they want to be, as long as…
I don’t condone violence in any form. Charlie Kirk didn’t deserve to die for holding opinions.
One thing I am surprised by is some of my Aussie friends on Facebook openly mourning his death, talking about “honouring” him by continuing to spread his message.
I don’t begrudge them in mourning…
