Serious About Safety on Maryland’s Roads

Today, the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration announced that fatalities on Maryland’s roads dropped 18% in 2025.

The largest improvements were seen among pedestrian and bicyclist (33% drop) and motorcyclist (46% drop).

With temperatures still below freezing and the potential for more snow, crews across the state continue to face difficult conditions. Let’s all do our part by driving safely and looking out for each other.

With icy conditions and slick roads across the area, we encourage drivers to slow down on the road.

❄️Use extra caution on bridges, overpasses and ramps
❄️Move over or slow down when approaching emergency equipment
