That said I see too many people trying to compare this to PalWorld and Digimon but they're all doing completely different things. It doesn't feel fair to lump them together other than the fact they're all monster tamers.

Simply put, If you like real time combat and Pokemon you'll enjoy this.

It really depends on how you set your expectations imho. The game has really fun systems to play with and it overall feels solid. Comparing it to PLA is hard though because they're doing two completely different things. I personally think I like PLA better as a story but ZA better as a game.

I have a box of like 18 other pokemon I trained just to get a feel for them! It's been fun to take the game slow and experiment with their movepools as I do side quests, requests, and pokedex completion.

I'm really happy about the pokemon selection in this game a lot of my favorites are here so it was difficult to make definitive team choices!

45 hours in and finally starting to get an idea of what I want my end game to look like!

They did the same noises last year and I immediately turned them off lmao

I didn't post about it prior for obvious reasons, but I was able to get in on Nintendo's playtest game and made myself in it (: Especially pleased with how I clipped objects into each other to shape the hair and to make wavy lines on the ears!

Ageed! In which case it would also be nice if passive damage e.g. poison and infestation would stop during those phases! It's really cheesy how I can purposely timer stall with no target on the field to wait out damage 😅

Honestly I'd much rather speed affect cast time than cooldowns I think that makes a lot more sense because speed in pokemon has been represented more as reaction time than actual speed.
