Inflammable means combustible. It doesn't mean non-flammable.
Infamous means famous for something bad, not famous.
Invisible means not visible. It does not mean visible, nor visible for something bad.
I swear, English is a linguistic mutt raised by wolves.

Qlock - A JavaScript Quine Clock
Displays the current time in a seven-segment style, embedded within its own JavaScript source code. (321 bytes)
You may already be aware, but a computer program that outputs its source code as its output is called a quine.
One of my favourites: aem1k.com/qlock/

Oh man, nesting and light-dark are game-changing. I can't help but feel spoiled with all these lovely things we're getting in CSS and the wider web platform.

Glad to see I'm not the only one loving the combination of those features. It's things like this that make CSS feel like such a different beast to the one it was a few short years ago.

I know we're all just on a big rock hurtling through space discussing how we're making the sand we're electrocuting do the things we want, but I'm glad I'm doing it with you lot.

I can picture someone sprawled over a thesaurus cackling to themselves while pursuing the perfect selection of words – refining their diction with obsessive glee and hitting send with a maniacal laugh.

There'll always be people saying mean things. Thankfully, I get a lot more people reaching out to say nice things than mean things.
Case in point, you with this reply. Thank you. :)

I get rather hateful emails quite often. Usually due to my writing.
One of these emails referred to me as an 'AI-loving, hypergraphia-addled, graphomaniacal, logorrheic schizophrenic'.
Hateful intent aside, that is genuinely the best insult I've ever received.

The new Piccalilli post page design, but the entire page is now yellow, rather than just accented with yellow.
You needn't worry. I gotcha Dave.

Winter Rhapsody
The drips drop on a dreary day.
I like winter. Winter is good. I wrote about winter. The writing is alright.
Read my alright writing about winter, which is good. That is, winter is good. Not the writing. The writing is merely alright.
We're on the same page now? Good. Good like winter.

As fantastically well done as it is, I can't be the only one majorly creeped out by this thing.
I can picture this mechanism on some deranged, malevolent robot in an 80s science fiction film. Ideally, the rest of the facial shell should have largely been peeled off, exposing the inner workings.

I do sometimes, especially to check things like outlines, but those validators feel so dated. Very XHTML-y.
They kick up a fuss about a lot of valid HTML such that it is a chore to check what it has picked up on that is actually invalid.
Though every now and then they can catch a mistake or flaw.

I've moved a few static sites from pages to workers. Not 11ty though.
I found it easier to create a new worker rather than migrate from pages.
My personal site builds with GitHub Actions then deploys with workers, but other sites I handle completely in workers.
Hit me up, and I can lend a hand.

A blog page. At the top is a translucent navbar which is followed by a rainbow mesh gradient behind a header which reads 'Introducing the AutoMod Blog'. Beyond that is the text of an article.
Given the many thousands of users that rely on my Revolt bot AutoMod, I decided to put together a blog so people can keep up-to-date through a central location.
I'm really pleased with how the rainbow mesh gradient behind the header came out.

Safari-based WebViews are a thing, but I wouldn't expect many people to be viewing my site in a WebView. Certainly not this many.

I considered that, but I don't seem to see many old iOS versions in my analytics. Hoping to get to the bottom of this when I have a moment.

Does anyone know if there is a specific reason why so many of my website visitors are apparently using Safari 11?
It is an old browser now but makes up 6% of my Safari visitors. It is the oldest browser release with a significant presence in my analytics.
